We only collect your Nickname and a valid email address only.
No personal information will ever be collected as you the seller and the buyer negotiate between yourselves, we are just a tool for selling number plates.
When you register, we will ask for information such as your name or Nickname and a valid email address, NOT your Surname. Once a transaction has been registered your payment will be actioned through PayPal or Stripe and all information will be treated through PayPal’s and Stripe’s privacy policies.
We do not have access to your PayPal nor your Stripe information and are not afflicted with PayPal or Stripe in any way.
Ausplates.com automatically receives and records information from your browser, including your IP address, Ausplates.com cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.
We use the information for the following general purposes: to collect your email for contact purposes only between you and the buyer, we do not have access to your messages.

IF YOU HAND OVER YOUR PLATES AND THEY ARE NOT TRANSFERED TO THE NEW OWNER, YOU ARE LIABLE FOR ANY FINES THEY MAY HAVE INCURRED, YOU ARE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THEY HAVE DONE WHILST USING YOUR PLATES AND EVERYTHING ELSE THEY DO WITH YOUR PLATES ON THEIR CAR.

Ausplates will not be held liable for any stolen plates or false misleading details from a seller or buyer, our site is here to help you sell and buy plates and we are indemnified of any legal actions, and you agree to this when registering for membership.
It is the seller’s responsibility to confirm resale eligibility before listing and transfer plate details to the new buyer immediately.

Ausplates is using the website to give a tool for all members to Sell and Buy number plates between themselves, as Ausplates only takes a fee for listing their number plates and no commission nor ongoing fees apply.
the onus is on the seller to negotiate to price for the number plates and meet to exchange ownership details preferably at a VicRoads outlet for their safety and security and peace of mind.
Sellers must show in their account when the plates are sold by ticking the sold button because they are NOT permitted to display any plates once ownership is transferred.
If you fail to nominate that the plates are SOLD within 12 hours of transferring them to the new owner, Ausplates will then impose a warning and/or a ban. We stop and/or delete all listings from your account until you have nominated the plates as SOLD and we will not refund any money for the deleted plates as per our no-refund policy.
All chats and nagotiations between seller and buyer will not be monitored.
At AusPlates.com, we enforce a no-refund policy for placing your number plates on our website for listing. All our listing fees are strictly non-refundable. However, if any listing is not displaying correctly, we will promptly resolve the issue. We have a highly experienced technician monitoring the site diligently.
Any payment errors or duplicate payments may be eligible for a full refund, within 24 hours of purchase. Simply contact us.
Sales are published in our Sold section for complete transparency. This helps set expectations of our service before listing.
